What is Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme?

The Government of Assam State has launched this remarkable women empowerment initiative called Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme, and it is the third extended phase of the original Assam Orunodoi Scheme. Under this scheme, the Government aims to provide financial help of INR 1,250 to all the females who come from financially weaker households across Assam. The financial help provided will be sent directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts by the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Process. With the help of this scheme, the low-income households’ females will be able to afford basic essential goods such as food, medicines, Pulses, & Vegetables.

Objective of Assam Orunodoi 3.0 List

The main objective behind the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 List is to identify and support those financially weak families in Assam who are genuinely in need of financial assistance. So that the government can at least help them in fulfilling their daily expenses, it will empower women by giving them financial control. And also supporting their better health, nutrition, and education in low-income families, it will reduce the financial burden. The Assam Government decided to launch Assam Orunodoi 3.0 on 17th September, then on 25th September 2025, by Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, but the date has been changed again change to 7th October 2025.
