Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday, and developed by the Agra Development Authority, it is the first of 36 years and is set to provide housing for at least 10,000 families of Agra who are facing homelessness. This initiative goes beyond just housing, providing 1,430 residential plots, 18 group housing plots, and 96 non-residential plots.
It is a comprehensive plan that also includes features for essential community services like healthcare, education, and community centers. The township is named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who spent his childhood in Bateshwar, a village in the Agra district, located in the Kakua and Bhandai areas.

The government has allocated a total budget of INR 1,515.47 crore for the successful implementation of the ADA Agra Atal Puram Township in Agra. The township is located near the junction of Inner Ring Road, Southern Bypass, and Gwalior Road, spread over 340 acres, and will be built in three phases with 11 sectors. It is a big Township that is spread over 138.53 hectares of land. To get the land for housing, people from reserved categories, including SC, ST, BC, ex-employee, MPs, MLAs, government employees over 50, senior citizens over 60, and person with disabilities, need to submit 5% of the value of plot as a security deposit, For general category it must be 10% of the value of land.
