So, through this scheme, the government employees in Assam are given a special kind of leave to spend time with their parents or in-laws which is Matri Pitri Vandana. It encourages the government employees to take a break from their busy schedules and connect with their parents-in-law, and spend quality time with them.

Objective of Assam Matri Pitri Vandana Scheme
The main objective of Objective of Assam Matri Pitri Vandana Scheme is to encourage family values and responsibility towards their elderly parents in laws, As the individuals work hard to serve towards their work earn for their family create a healthy good lifestyle for their upcoming generation too but in all these they won’t be able to spend time with their parents so this scheme will promote traditional Indian values of respecting parents, emotional support to elderly parents and will allow employees to fulfill their moral and social duties.
How to Apply for Matri Pitri Vandana Leave?
- Visit the Portal : https://matripitrivandana.assam.gov.in.
- Click on Register button and mention the Data for Registration.
- Enter the Mobile Number used during the time of Registration.
- Enter the OTP sent to registered mobile number.
- After login Click on apply for leave & fill in the asked details in the form.
- Click on generate button to generate the application which needs to be signed by Head of the Department and the applicant.
- After availing the leave, upload the photograph along with the signed application downloaded earlier for final approval of the leave.

Eligibility Criteria

Ineligibility Criteria
- Employees who are not permanent government employees os state Assam
- Employees whose parents or in-laws are no longer alive.
- Employee who has already taken the Matri Pitri Vandana leave once in the same year.
