This Maharashtra Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana was announced by the Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis and launched by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and disbursed the first installment on October 26, 2023. Under this scheme, the Government aims to provide financial help and support to all the small and marginal farmers across the state.
According to this scheme, the Government will provide financial help of INR 6,000 annually to all the eligible farmers in the state. This initiative aims to stabilise their income and help them cover agricultural costs. The Government has allocated a total budget of INR 6,900 Crore for the implementation of this scheme.

The main objective behind this Maharashtra Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana is to empower all the small and marginal farmer families by providing financial help and support so that they can stabilise their income and cover the agricultural costs easily. Under this scheme, the Government aims to provide financial help of INR 6,000 annually to all the eligible small and marginal farmers across the state. This scheme aims to provide benefits to over 1 Crore farmers across the state, and the first installmnet of this scheme was disbursed to about 86 Lakh farmers, and till now, about 91.65 Lakh farmers have received the financial benefits successfully.
