Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister’s Thayumanavar Scheme is a welfare effort started to make sure that important ration items like rice and sugar reach directly to the homes of some of the state’s most vulnerable people. About Thayumanavar Scheme

Tamil Nadu govt has launched Chief Minister’s Thayumanavar Scheme to help old age people and differently abled citizens who can’t go to ration shops by themself. Under this scheme, important ration items like rice and sugar will be delivered straight to their house. It will cover nearly 21.7 lakh people – 20.42 lakh senior citizens above 70 years and 1.27 lakh differently-abled persons in the state. Delivery will happen every second Saturday and Sunday of month using e-PoS devices and weighing machines for proper supply. The total cost is around Rs 30.16 crore and aims to make sure these people get ration without much struggle.

How to Apply TN Ration Scheme

Step 1: Applicants must be above 70 years or a differently-abled person and have a valid TN ration card.

Step 2: Fill the application form and submit at the Fair Price Shop or Taluk Office.

Step 3: Officials will check the documents and verify your residence.

Step 4: After approval, ration will come to your doorstep every 2nd Saturday & Sunday.
