What is the Unified Pension Scheme?

Benefits of the Unified Pension Scheme
- Under this scheme, employees who are retired after completing their service will get a guaranteed monthly pension as per their last basic salary.

Eligibility Criteria
- They should be a central Government employee and were under the NPS as of 1st April 2025.
- They should have been joined the Central Government on or after 1st April 2025.
- They must retire before 1st April 2025 but were under NPS (in some cases).
Ineligibility Criteria
- If you resigned from your job.
- You were removed or dismissed due to punishment.
- You were not part of NPS before 1st April 2025
- If in case You don’t meet the minimum service requirement.
How to Apply For Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)
- Go to the Official Website Of the Portal.
- On the homepage, Look for the option ‘Unified Pension Scheme’ click on it
- After that Click on the option – Migrate from NPS to UPS if you are already a member of NPS or if in case you just registering for UPS.
- After that fill out the required and Click on submit.

- Go and Ask your department for the correct form for Unified Pension Scheme
- Fill it with your details correctly and sign it.
- After that Attach documents like service proof, ID proof, PRAN, etc.
- After reviewing and attaching documents Submit it to your Head of Office or Nodal Officer.
